Dominique Armitage Riley: BSc Vet Sci, PgDip Vet Physio
Dominique Armitage Riley has a strong veterinary-based background after she completed a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Science at The Royal Veterinary College in London. Here she began her focus on Animal Physiotherapy modalities after completing her dissertation exploring "Muscle Stiffness in the Equine Back".
In 2012 Dominique went on to study her postgraduate course in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Harper Adams University which she successfully completed. As a result of this Dominique is now an active member of ASSVAP (Association for the Scientific Study of Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapy) and RAMP (Register for Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners) where she continues her professional development by enrolling and completing a variety of CPD opportunities.
Throughout Dominique's life she has gained a vast wealth of 'hands-on' experience working with animals of all shapes and sizes by completing various placements on farms, studs, zoos etc. Dominique however developed her real interest in physiotherapy and rehabilitation when she worked at Parks Farm Equine Therapy Centre based in North Yorkshire.
Dominique has now secured a place at Westwood Veterinary Practice (Boston Spa and Garforth) as a Veterinary Physiotherapist.
Away from her career as a Veterinary Physiotherapist Dominique has always indulged her passion for owning and caring for animals be it dogs, cats or horses. In her free time she enjoys nothing more than spending a day out at our parents farm with her husband Simon, son Sebastian and daughter Isabella. The kids love the animals just as much as Dominique does!
