Electrotherapies

use of therapeutic machines to treat a variety of conditions:

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) – Uses red and infrared light energy to target the tissues. Mainly used in superficial, vascular tissue. Best used on wounds, oedema/swelling and pain.

TENS – Uses electrical stimulation to reduce pain sensation, increase blood flow, improve muscle function and reduce muscle spasm.

NMES - Uses electrical stimulation to maintain/strengthen muscle, improve muscle function, prevents muscle loss /atrophy and increases blood supply.
Remedial exercise programmes

each plan is devised on a case by case basis and is specifically tailored to the patient and owner’s situation. They’re designed to target areas of weakness, improve range of motion and proprioception.
Alongside the programme, Dominique will also make recommendations to alter patients environment. If necessary, will also advise referral to other paraprofessional if required including referring back to your veterinarian when necessary.
